Sustainable construction, also known as green construction, refers to the structure itself constructed and maintained with environmentally responsible resources. These structures are energy-efficient, material-efficient, and cost-efficient and focus on maintaining and protecting natural space surrounding construction.
So, now that you know what it is, WHY is it important?
There are plenary of reasons that sustainable construction is essential. The most talked-about being:
- Better quality of life
- Environmentally conscious
- Improved health due to safer materials
- Increased productivity thanks to better surroundings
