This week we are talking about Osha, and what they do for our workers and how they accomplish that.


First things first… What is Osha?
With the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Congress created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.

What is a “toolbox meeting”
Osha provides us with easy and fast topics to go over with the workers that helps us refresh the safety guidelines we are following. These are called “Toolbox Meetings”.

It refers to quick and easy meetings, “around the toolbox” as it were, designed to systematically educate workers in topics that will help keep them safe, and also allow workers to bring to the attention of their superiors situations they are facing that are not safe.
